International couriers charge whichever is greater: actual weight or volumetric (dimensional) weight.

Charged on the Heavier
Carriers compare actual weight vs. volumetric weight and charge based on the heavier value. Light items in large boxes are billed at volumetric weight.
The Formula
(L cm × W cm × H cm) ÷ 5,000 = kg
Example: A 40×30×20 cm box → 40×30×20÷5,000 = 4.8 kg. Even if actual weight is 1.5 kg, you are billed for 4.8 kg.
